Our Story
Welcome to the world of Dimos - four generations of olive oil mastery at our fingertips. We create world class, extra virgin olive oil to nourish you physically and spiritually. Translating from the word ‘Community’ in Greek, DIMOS wants to breathe new life into the olive oil category by taking you a journey from olive grove to plate, giving you access all areas to everything we do.
Our story starts at our family olive groves - Sikalorasi and Kastania - in the Kalamata Bay, where my great-grandmother (Προγιαγια) first planted the trees from which our olives are now grown. Over time they learned how to look after the trees and get the very best oil from them. This incredible knowledge has been passed down through the family, to my uncle Christos, and now to me.
Our Oil Is Essential And Special
Olive oil is considered by doctors and nutritionists to be one of the healthiest foods in the world, with a story to tell like no other. It is one of the three cornerstones of the Mediterranean diet - Olive Oil, Bread and Wine. Did you know, in 2010, UNESCO designated the Mediterranean diet as part of the intangible cultural heritage of humanity. We’re proud to be part of this story.
But not all olive oils are made equal. Our extra virgin oil is Single-Origin meaning it all comes from our family groves in the small village Petalidi (and nowhere else) and derives 100% from Koroneiki olives. Everything we do during the harvest and production is done to make sure the oil is as exceptional as it was the year before. And the year before that.
Our single-origin olive oil is celebration of rustic charm and fearless modernity. Everything we do is for the good of the olive oil and for you.
